It’s finally here! Glasgow’s First International & Cultural Food Night! Glasgow families and students are invited to the first International & Cultural Food Night on Thursday, October 11th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This free event will celebrate our diverse school community through food. Families are encouraged to bring food from their ethnic or regional backgrounds. Glasgow’s Annual Celebration Dance for the 8th graders is Friday, June 8th, from 6:30-8:30 in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and will be sold on Friday June 1st and Monday June 4th during all lunches. The PTA will serve Chick- Fil A Sandwiches and we’ll have separate tables with snacks, fruit, candy and drinks. June 5 – Spotlight on Success – Our annual celebration of Glasgow! 6:30-8pm Hands-on interactive activities and displays of art, technology, music, robotics, theater, the school garden, science and more, all presented by Glasgow students and teachers. Bring the whole family, eat some delicious snacks (many made by Glasgow’s own FCCLA students), and enjoy all or part this casual evening… and it’s free! Tuesday, April 10 at 7pm Brief PTA meeting followed by a presentation on cyber-bullying by Consuela White, FCPS Office of Student Safety and Wellness. Arabic and Spanish interpreters will be present.
Save the date: Hoop It Up, our annual student-teacher basketball extravaganza, will be on Friday, April 13. Students will work with Mr. Cannon and Mr. Stuechli to prepare and practice.
