It’s that time of year again! PTA is looking for individuals to serve on our Nominating Committee to encourage our members to contribute to PTA as an elected official. All you need is a basic understanding of our Glasgow PTA roles and a willingness to make a few phone calls, send emails, and think creatively. The Nominating Committee consists of three PTA members. Glasgow PTA has sponsored a team of 6th and 7th graders to compete in this year’s Odyssey of the Mind regional tournament. A requirement of their registration is to provide a judge for the tournament. A judge can be any community member and requires a day’s commitment for training and a day’s commitment for the tournament. There are small perks like a provided lunch and a t-shirt on tournament day, but the real benefit is seeing elementary through high schoolers share their creative problem-solving approaches! The Glasgow library will host a Scholastic Winter Book Fair from Monday, December 5, 2016 through Friday, December 9, 2016. The money raised will support the library and help them to purchase new books for students and teachers and support technology initiatives for the library.
