Call for Volunteers!
PTA regularly receives requests from staff for help during and after school. The tasks are varied; some are recurring while others are one-time projects, activities, events, or programs.
Programs supported by volunteers enrich student education and experience via programs such as Science Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind. They also promote school spirit and raise funds.
In addition to event-specific volunteers, PTA shares numerous opportunities to help teachers, staff, or students. These pop up all year long. Time commitments vary and the work ranges from facilitating vision screening and field day fun, collecting bicycles, launching new programs, reading books – and so much more.
All current PTA volunteer opportunities are compiled here using SignUpGenius.
The same PTA volunteer opportunities are also listed individually here:
End of Year Awards Ceremonies: June 3, 5, 6 – Each June, Glasgow’s academic departments host awards ceremonies for each grade. Parents are notified in advance if their child will be recognized. The Office of Student Services needs volunteers to hand out programs as people enter, pass out refreshments, and help clean up. Parents can volunteer regardless of whether they have a student being recognized that day:
Last Panther Store: June 7 – Glasgow is seeking volunteers to lead the Panther Store’s last session for the year. Sign up to volunteer! https://www.
Ongoing From Starbucks to Barnes & Noble, Dunkin Donuts to craft and hobby stores, teachers and staff deserve little tokens of our appreciation. For information on donating gift cards for teachers/staff please go to https://www.signupgenius.com/
